October 10, 1992 was
a turning point in my life. I don’t have a photo or a video of that day
but I remember it as if it was today.
I was wearing flower
printed leggings with a peach colored jumper (today’s fashion : ) …).
Anyway --- I don’t want to talk about this kind of fashion, but the one
that leads people to happiness.
Have you heard of
imaginary friends? Usually, you hear parents, teachers, and professionals
speak about it as if it were very normal. Well, I am here to tell you
that this is far from normal. As a matter of fact, some call it
paranormal activity, which in my opinion describes it better. How do I
know? Because when I was a child I was a victim of it and I was terrified.
This imaginary friend,
as many call it, was far from friendly. I was scared all the time.
They did not talk to me, although they would call my name, but I mean to say we
never had a dialogue, I just saw them. At times, especially when I was
asleep, I felt them touching me and I would wake up in terror. Just for
you to have an idea of my fear I slept with the lights on until I was about 15
years old. I was always too scared that they were coming to take me and seriously
harm me.
Needless to say, these
paranormal activities had a tremendous negative effect on me. I was
always ill and the doctors could not diagnose any disease. I could not focus in
school because they kept on calling my name. I suffered from insomnia,
hatred, panic attacks, fainting spells, and suicidal thoughts. I felt unloved,
alone, and had a lot of complexes among many other problems.
My mother tried
different rituals to send them away, but they wouldn’t go away — it was just
worsening every day. My mother spent a lot of money buying amulets,
incense, candles and a whole lot but with no signs of freedom. I was
hopeless. I had tried religion, faith healers, and doctors; you name it
and surely I had tried it.
I
listened to a radio program and I heard life stories of people who
were freed from the same kind of problems I was suffering from. At first
I thought it was all a lie, but one day my mother and I decided to attend
that center.
And from then on, life was never the same. On the very first day, I was
healed from a severe pain I had in my throat and feet. Every time I attended I
got better and better.
Of course, my life
didn’t change with the snap of my fingers. It was a process. I started to learn
what faith is all about. I learned the Bible and how to apply it in my
daily life.
What impressed me was
that the people there were not religious and they did not judge me or force me
to change. They simply taught me the way to happiness and I followed
suit. I am glad I did, because I am free from the hell I was
living. If I would not have done so, I would most probably be dead by
now.
What happened on
October 10, 1992? It was the day of my water baptism. No, I didn’t
become a member of a church. Not at all.
I don’t even hold a membership card or a certificate. I simply
chose to be happy and from that moment on no evil could ever touch me.
I found the antidote
to a miserable life and so can you!
