THE DOLL OF MY DREAMS

I was six years old, a day before my seventh birthday, I was staying with my mom’s friend that day. She took me to school and would pick me up after. When she came to pick me up something unexpected happened, my father was there. He looked at me with a smile and said, “Tomorrow is your birthday, I wanted to give you a gift, what would you like?” I didn’t have twice about it because my greatest desire was to have a big doll, the Susi doll; it was the most popular doll at the time. The next day, who was waiting for me in a big box? My Susi doll!

But, with all this excitement I had completely forgotten about my Mom. A woman who suffered a lot with my father’s abandonment. She always told me she didn’t want me talking to my father! Any contact with him was forbidden. But since I didn’t understand at the time what was going on between them I did not care.

It was a very happy day for me, I got the doll of my dreams, I opened the box and took her out hugged and kissed her with great affection.

I went home all excited, I made pretend food for her out of paper and sat down to eat with her. All of a sudden the door opens, my mother came home from work and she saw how happy I was and asked, “Honey, who gave you that doll?” “My father!” I answered
It was a matter of seconds, she took the doll from me, broke it and put it in the garbage. My eyes filled with tears as I witnessed such a cruel scene, I said nothing, and silence took over me. She warned me never to bring anything in the house from my father!

It's amazing how hatred can destroy and even kill someone, my mother was a good person, but she had horrible feelings towards my father. This hatred affected me as the years past.

Sometimes as mothers, we have to be careful how we react with our children. If you are going through rough times don’t take it out on your child, because you see, this can affect them for the rest of their lives.

Time passed and as we were making the preparations for my wedding day, my mother sat down and told me that her dream was to receive the Holy Spirit, she was attending the UCKG for 3 years now and she had a constant struggle in receiving this baptism. When she asked me how she could receive this gift from God, I quickly answered, “Forgive my father!”

At that moment, she realized what she had to do as tears rolled down her face. I went with her to take my wedding invitation to him and I saw how with great care, she apologized to him. That same week the miracle happened, she was sealed with the power of the Holy Spirit, what a great joy.

You’re wonder about the doll, right? I got another Susi doll, I was already married, but the sentimental value was strong, and soon after had two daughters which became two beautiful dolls.

Was it a bad experience? Yes! But God wanted to realize the greatest dream of His servant, to give the helper, the Holy Spirit! And there's nothing that can stop you from receiving, it, except yourself.

He who, whole-heartily, repents and confesses that Jesus is Lord (Rom. 10:9), is born again and receive from God a new heart (Ps 51.10; Ez 11:19).

  2. You can learn about those fundamental lessons by simply playing video games.
A short video that requires minimal digital effects can be rendered in just a few minutes while a
feature length animated movie can take up to several weeks because of the complexity of the effects needed and the
3D animation itself. You're punished more than and in excess of for generating faults in education and encouraged never ever to do it.
