MOM: MASTER OF MULTITASKING

Without a doubt the picture above describes most of the mom’s out there. They don’t say that MOM stands for Master of Multitasking for nothing!!  Without a doubt most of our lives are very busy, and if you add a job, one, two or maybe even more children to the scenario it makes it A LOT busier!

God gave us this great capacity of being able to take responsibilities of many things, something most man aren’t capable of. But, many women or moms just don’t know how to organize their time and set their priorities straight.  That’s when problems begin inside the home.

We can see in today’s society many children being raised by TV, video games, internet, etc. Mom’s today are so busy trying to succeed in the working field to proof their equally, that they neglect the fact that their children need their love and attention.  Some are just too involved in solving their own life, trying to save their love life, reach economic stability that they neglect to see that the problems their children are facing at school, their rebelliousness, is just a desperate plea for attention.  Don’t get me wrong all those things are necessary but, we must have a balance in everything we do.

You have to stop a little and use your reason to see what is most important to you, is it your child’s well-being and a blessed home? Without a doubt for all those things we need to seek God’s wisdom and guidance, but spending quality time with your children is essential. Make time to teach your children, to participate in their activities, and just stop a few times a day to show them affection. Set aside a time in your day whether it’s a little or a lot and give them your total attention without any other distractions. Plan a trip with them near or far at least once a month.

Each of us has different lives and schedules but, it’s important to make time for our children. If you have more than one, treat each one as individuals; give them each the attention they need as an individual. Some things can be left for later but our children can’t, because when you go to see, they are all grown up and you missed out on all of the important things in their lives. What to do if they already are all grown up? The same thing, make time for them, no matter their age, show them that you are there for them no matter what. Make yourself available to help them, listen to them.

Whether you have a lot or a little bit of time with your children, make the most of it. Make it a happy time. You will see if you begin to do this it will make all the difference in the world.
